The Black Fields to play Staycation Live Saturday

We saw The Black Fields supporting another band at the Star in Guildford and what a show it was.. We’ve been pestering them for a while now and are happy to announce they will be on the Staycation Live 2019 line-up!
Formed after hours in the bars of the serendipitous City of Brighton, The Black Fields found common ground over a record collection & love of rock’n’roll. They are fronted by the theatrical baritone voiced Ross Scarfield, and Madrid born, unique sounding guitarist and vocalist Diego Alcacer.
Boasting a blend of their proud influences such as Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen, Scott walker, to name a few… their live shows have been described as electrifying, theatrical and spell-binding, echoing well crafted traditional style song writing and exiting personal personas.

Guitarist Tristan Sherfield, drummer and multi-instrumentalist Russ Callaghan Grooms and bassist and producer Alex Winter complete the five piece line up who are set to record their latest EP shortly, followed by a launch campaign and new videos.
For now you can catch The Black Fields at venues across the South East and soon on a broader horizon.
Knocksville into the park for Staycation Live

Knocksville into the park for Staycation Live

The acts are coming in thick and fast Staycationeers and the next one is sure not to disappoint. We’re delight to announce that Knocksville will be on Staycation Live 2019 Lineup. The Eastbourne 3 piece went from Rockabilly to Psychobilly in the year 2014 and since then have played major festivals all around the UK and Europe spreading their infectious brand of high energy punk infused rock and roll.

They have supported internationally award winning Imelda May and are now signed to her label playing some of the largest festivals around Europe. Their new E.P called “The Crazy Ex” has been making waves on the psychobilly scene whilst picking up fans with their fantastic live appearances at major festivals. They are sure to make a hell of a noise at Staycation Live 2019  and we can’t wait for them to knock us out of the park !

“ Described elsewhere on this site as a “50’s style “punks” Knocksville, with a heavy train-like sound featuring great slap bass, banging drums, as well as a punk/rockabilly guitar player. Although fairly simplistic, as many three-piece acts are, they also had a direct powerful sound that gave their show an undeniably rocking edge”   – Source Mag
